In memory of Peter Shuck : conference about Quantum-Many-Body correlations.

From 8:30
to 18:30
Laboratoire de Physique des 2 Infinis - Irène Joliot-Curie (IJCLab) Building 100A Auditorium Joliot Curie 15, rue Georges Clémenceau 91400 Orsay

This conference, which will be held March 21-23 at the IJCLab's Marie Curie Auditorium, is organized in memory of Peter Schuk. An outstanding personality, not only in the field of nuclear theory, but also in N-body physics in general. He was able to initiate discussions between different communities in order to transfer methods from one field to another and to overcome barriers due to different terminologies. Following his ideas, the aim of this conference is to bring together experts from different fields of many-body physics and to discuss recent progress, methods and results covering the wide range of topics Peter Schuck has been interested in, from nuclei and neutron stars to condensed matter systems and theoretical chemistry.
