IMCC Annual Meeting

From 12:00
to 14:00
IJCLab Bât. 100, 15 rue Georges Clémenceau 91405 Orsay

The annual meeting of the Muon Collider Collaboration (IMCC) will take place this year in France and will be hosted by the IJCLab in Orsay, between 19 and 22 June 2023.

During this series of meetings, it is planned to cover all areas of study and potential development of muon accelerators with sufficient time for plenary and parallel sessions.

On the agenda :

  • Physical potential achievable by muon colliders
  • State of the art of theoretical calculations
  • Production, cooling and acceleration of muon beams (radio frequency cavities, magnets, cryogenic systems)
  • Detector design and machine interface
  • The problem of long-distance radiation induced by the beams

The main objectives of the meeting will be to report on the progress of the study, in accordance with the defined work programme, and to consolidate the division of tasks between all collaborators, including the activities within the EU-funded MuCol design study. In particular, we would like to use this opportunity to address the issue of interfaces and integration between the different activities. The meeting is an opportunity for the collaboration to take stock of the activities

The meeting will be directly followed by the workshop "Muon Collider Synergies" which will take place from 22 to 23 June 2023, toujours à l'IJCLab à Orsay.
