Ecole ECOCLIM 2023

From 9:30
to 14:00
Aphithéâtre Lehman Bâtiment 200 - rue André Ampère - Campus de la Faculté des Sciences - Université Paris-Saclay 91405 Orsay

Climate issues will affect all aspects of 21st century societies, and the world of research is no exception. This is why the Ecoclim school is offering researchers from all disciplines a training course on these issues between 12 and 15 June 2023, on the IJCLab premises in Orsay.

Registrations open until 19 May 2023

The objective of the ECOCLIM2023 school is to offer basic training on environmental issues to teachers-researchers, researchers, post-doctoral and doctoral students who are not specialists in the subject.

Starting with the description of global warming and its impacts, it will focus on various planetary limits, before evoking the energy aspects and possible scenarios for the transformation of our societies. One of the school's ambitions is that the participants will then be able to disseminate knowledge on these themes (popularisation, teaching, etc.).

Another ambition would be to allow participants to identify possible points of encounter between their research/skills and the questions raised by environmental issues.

It will take place face-to-face. However, a remote follow-up will also be possible in case of impossibility to come (people in the provinces or abroad).
